This policy explains how CleanText handles information when you use cleanhiddenchars.com. Last updated: September 13, 2026.

Local text cleaning

When you use “Remove hidden characters,” pasted text and supported text files are processed locally in your browser. The site does not upload that content to our server for the standard cleaning operation.

Optional AI rewrite

If you deliberately select “AI rewrite,” the current text is sent to our Cloudflare Worker and processed by Cloudflare Workers AI. Do not use AI rewrite for passwords, financial records, health information, private identifiers, or other confidential material.

Technical information

Our hosting provider may process ordinary request information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, timestamps, and security signals. CleanText does not currently provide user accounts or require visitors to submit a name.

Third-party advertising

The site may display advertising supplied by Google AdSense or another approved advertising provider. Advertising providers may use cookies, web beacons, device information, or similar technologies to deliver, measure, and protect ads, including personalized ads where the visitor has given the required consent.

You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services in Google's partner-sites policy and manage advertising preferences through My Ad Center. Where required, visitors will be shown a consent message with choices to consent, decline, or manage options.

Data retention

CleanText does not create a server-side copy of text submitted to the local cleaning action. Text submitted to the optional AI rewrite is used to return that request's result; we do not intentionally add it to a CleanText user profile or content database.

Your choices

You can use local cleaning without selecting AI rewrite. Browser settings can be used to remove or block cookies, although doing so may affect advertising preferences or consent controls.
